The cost of going to Japan for work is a major concern for everyone considering it. With the active support of the Japanese government, this cost has significantly decreased since 2020. Some fees have even been eliminated to create the best possible conditions for workers.

There are several types of expenses you need to prepare for when going to Japan, specifically:

**Medical examination fee:** This ranges from 900,000 VND to 1,400,000 VND, depending on the number of examinations required to meet the requirements of the job you apply for.
**Training fee:** This includes food, accommodation, and basic Japanese language training before the selection test.

Visa processing fees, airfare, and other incidental expenses such as clothing, uniforms, luggage, etc.

In addition, some sending companies will package the total cost of labor export to Japan according to the duration. Accordingly, you will have:

Total cost to go to Japan for 1 year: Ranging from 40 – 55 million VND, including all basic fees above.

Total cost to go to Japan for a 3-year contract: Ranging from 85 – 160 million VND. If you do not have enough capital to pay, you can also borrow up to 80 – 100% of the contract value from the bank.
